I have an 08 plate 100HP and have been experiencing a knocking noise from the rear for about 6 months now. With a little bit of detective work I have contributed some of the problem to the handbrake cable lines rattling about underneath. I took it to my local dealer who ruled out anything wrong with the suspension and confimed it was just the This noise sounds like vibration with a bit of grinding and seems to be coming from the rear of the car, possibley the passenger side (very difficult to pin down). Cinq was, in fact they may have been the model Fiat started really dealing with rust. It wasn't rotten through, just a little bubbled paint where water and mud had been trapped - seemed pretty good for 14 years old at the time. The 100HP already has a little rust bubbling up around one of the screws under the filler flap, however.

Very nippy on country roads and fits neatly into garage. Great for dog and practical small load carrier. Likes - handles well, heated seats, practicality, fun, set out well, nippy, easy to park, cheap to tax and run apart from fuel consumption, good visibility, good value small 4x4. Dislikes - ignore quoted fuel consumption more like 30 to 40 .
