I usually search from 3 places: around Marsa Cave. 2) the area between Piki Meat outpost and the river to the west. 3) the area between Pardaku Lookout (high cliff) and Mash Baya Rocks (Izila camp where you're sent to save Wenja) Look at the map around these locations to see where it says the yaks are. I'd start from 3) probably.

I'm on the same boat with you guys. I have found almost every rare animal except for the yak. I've tried several locations but no luck. As for the white deer, try the northern area, just below or in the snow area, found a few over there. zombie_basher13 7 years ago #9. This stupid rare white deer is the last friggin thing I need to find and murder.
MegamanXfan21xx 9 years ago #2. They're on a cliff above where you get you get your second fast travel spot. Wander around that area and you'll eventually see them. There's another spot on the map that lists them that's closer to the starting village, but I've never seen any. .
