adamridgeway Discussion starter · Mar 14, 2018. Just brought an e91 touring and both key fobs don't work. The newer looking key fob has a battery you can change and the older looking one doesn't. I'm guessing it's probably a programming issue but not sure if this model has a battery in the remote or is the rechargeable type.

Out the door cost was $198.99, including diagnostic checks prior to swap. They used an Interstate w/ 2 year warranty / 5 year pro-rated guarantee. Fuse and relay location. Fuse box diagram. If the battery is disconnected DO NOT CLOSE THE TRUNK (should be a sticky haha). The only way to fix it is to have your car connected to another running car via battery cables and then pop the trunk via fob or button. Really a terrible call by BMW engineers. Appreciate 1.
Battery Voltage Last night after it being fully charged (using a volt meter on the battery) 12.4v Battery Voltage this morning on the Battery after sitting for 12 hours 12.1v I found the hidden menu and it showed my voltage without the car started at 12.2v and when i started the car it went down to 8.4v for a split second and then came back up

I have the same problem - 3 months out of warranty and my G31 is showing the call system failure. It's ridiculous that a "regular" replacement item is located so badly (mine has failed after 3.25 years), and BMW want ~£1000 to replace it! Any help on removing the headlining would be appreciated.
