It has trollier armor than Tiger, especially against American 76mm players, who can't aim. The 122mm cannon while does have awfully long reload, performs at least somewhat decent in uptiers. Sure you can't bum rush everywhere like on T-34-85, but IS-2 is an excellent tank destroyer, and great in corner peeking, thanks to the fast reverse speed.
