The flash sync speed is set automatically within a range of 1/200 sec. to 30 sec. to suit the scene’s brightness. Slow-sync shooting is used in low-light locations (under some shooting conditions), and shutter speed is automatically lowered. I have two 430 EXII each on RF603c II and one RF603c II on the hot shoe of either the 40D or R6 and they work fine. I can turn the RF603c II on after the camera is on and it's still no issue. Would be nice if there was a trigger wirelessly for the R6 that would allow remote adjustments of the 430 EX

The 430EX III-RT has both radio wireless capability and optical wireless capability as a "Slave Flash", but only radio wireless capability as a "Master Flash". The 270EX II has only optical wireless capability as a "Slave Flash", just as the 430EX II in the chart shown in the manual.
